WORSHIP

Petal-Harvey meets for Worship at 9 a.m. on Sunday mornings.
Our morning services are led by a worship leader, Celebration Choir, praise team, praise band, and other instruments from time to time. While our worship can be described as “contemporary”, we use a combination of hymns and contemporary worship songs. Songs are never chosen based on style, but on the spiritual content and whether the song leads us to worship our great God.

How can you be involved in our music ministry?

Celebration Choir | This group of singers, college age and older, leads our morning worship services weekly. There is no required audition to become a part of this group. Rehearsals are Wednesday nights at 6:00 p.m. in the choir room (in the hallway directly behind the Sanctuary). Childcare and children’s programming are provided during rehearsal times. To join, simply show up any Wednesday night. One of our choir members will be glad to help you find a seat, collect your music, and meet other singers around you.
55 Alive Choir | There is no group more dedicated and committed than our 55 Alive Choir. This group meets Tuesdays at 11:00 a.m. Besides helping lead our Sunday night worship times periodically, this group travels to other churches and area nursing homes and retirement communities to share music.
Praise Team & Band | This team is a small group of singers and instrumentalists used in all our Sunday times of worship. To be a part of praise team, singers must first be committed members of our Celebration Choir. Praise Team and Band are auditioned and meets weekly on Wednesday nights.
Preschool Choir | We begin teaching children to worship even during the preschool years. Preschool choirs meet Wednesday nights at 6:00 p.m. in the preschool building. Our workers teach these little ones to praise through upbeat, energetic music appropriate to their age and development.
