Welcome
to the Children's Music Ministry at Petal-Harvey Baptist
Church. We are glad that you visited us online and
invite you to visit us in person.
Our
graded choir program strives to provide each child with rewarding
spiritual and musical experiences. Using
developmentally appropriate curriculum, each teacher
incorporates scriptural sound literature, often relying
on a variety of accompaniments including rhythm
instruments, a live praise and worship band, recordings
and Orff instruments.
Children
often lead the congregation in worship experiences on
Sunday evenings. They do this in a variety of
ways:
1.Singing anthems of praise and worship
2.Ringing handchimes
3. Drama
4. Dance
5. Special seasonal or scriptural celebrations
Other
times, groups will serve as ministers to the community.
They offer themselves by:
1. Singing programs at nursing homes
2. Caroling and visitation of homebound members
3. Providing hope through mini-choir tours and service
projects.
